Classic North India Tour is highly famed for its rich culture and heritage. The cities we are including Delhi, Udaipur, Jaipur, Agra and Varanasi are some of the most prominent destinations that generally come under this Classic North India tour. There are several monuments and grand structures in this region that offer travelers a glimpse of the past dynasties that ruled the region.

DETAILED ITINERARY :

Day 01 – Arrive in Delhi
Arriving in Delhi, you will clear customs and immigration. Leaving the airport, you will be met by our representative, holding a placard with your name on it in the arrival lounge. Arrival transfer to hotel. Assistance for check-in will be provided. After check-in overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 – Delhi Sightseeing
After breakfast full day city tour of Delhi which is India’s bustling capital city. First of all, visit India Gate which is a famous war memorial at the east end of Rajpath. Later on drive past President’s House, Parliament House & Secretariat Building.  Also, visit Gandhi Smriti. The residence of industrialist BD Birla has been converted into a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, where he used to stay during his visits to Delhi. Gandhiji was assassinated here on his way to offer customary evening prayers.

Later on visit Red Fort, which is a historic fort in the city of Delhi in India that served as the main residence of the Mughal Emperors. Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned the construction of the Red Fort on 12 May 1638

Later on, visit the beautiful Akshardham Temple. The grand, ancient-styled Swami Narayan Akshardham complex was built in only five years through the efforts of 11,000 artisans and BAPS volunteers.

In the afternoon Qutab Minar is 72.5 m in height and has a mosque at the base. It is a magnificent structure whose construction was started in 1199 by a Muslim King Qutab-ud-din Aibak (after whom it was named) and was finished by his heir IItutmish. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 03 – Delhi to Jaipur
After breakfast check out and drive to Jaipur. Arrive at Jaipur and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free to relax at your hotel. OR you can explore the local markets for souvenir shopping the Jaipur is famous for Jewellery, precious stones, paintings, hand-printed textiles, etc. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 04 – Jaipur Sightseeing
After breakfast full day of sightseeing of Jaipur are exuberance of color, dance, and song with the traditional arts and crafts. The morning we take you to Amer Fort – The royal family’s residence at Amber is only 11 km away. Ascend on elephant back, the hill, on which the fort is situated. An elephant will spare you the trouble of climbing up to the fortress. Once on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls. Many of the rooms have delightful wall paintings, with precious stones and mirrors inlaid in the walls. Most fascinating, perhaps, is the Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) where a single lamplight is reflected in the many mirrors, lighting up the room.

Afternoon covering Hawa Mahal or “Palace of Winds,” one of the major landmarks of Jaipur. The City Palace which is a blend of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture and the royal family still lives in a part of the palace. Adjacent to the City Palace is Jantar Mantar, the ancient astronomical observatory built by Raja Jai Singh, whose passion for astronomy was even more notable than his prowess as a warrior.

A visit to the colorful bazaar of Jaipur has been arranged. Jaipur is a rainbow of colors at every nook and corner. The colorful leather shoes that exemplify royalty, the exotic wares in the bustling local bazaars and the food in Jaipur are quite unique and distinct in their style. Overnight at hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 05 – Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra
After breakfast check out and drive to Agra. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri – Built by Akbar the Great in the 16th century to serve as the capital of his vast empire, Fatehpur Sikri was mysteriously abandoned 13 years later. Arrive in Agra and transfer to the hotel.

After check-in visits the sprawling Agra Red Fort which is surrounded by a 70 feet high wall. In the evening, head to Mehtab Garden for a unique view of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna river!  Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 06 – Agra – Orchha – Khajuraho
Early morning visits to the Taj Mahal which is India’s most fascinating and beautiful masterpiece. The Taj is most enthralling in the quietness of early morning. This glorious monument is at its best under the early morning sun. It is the best time to click pictures as not only is the light wonderful but it’s relatively less crowded too. With the rising Sun, the white marble changes its color and hues and it is excellent for photography.

After an early breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Agra Cantt. Railway Station to catch TAJ EXPRESS train to Jhansi. Arrive Jhansi and you will be met by our representative, holding a placard with your name on it at the exit. Then drive to Orchha and visit Laxminarayan Temple, Jahangir Mahal & Chattries of Bundela Kings.

Later on, continue drive to Khajuraho. On arrival check-in into hotel. After check-in rest of the day free to relax at your hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 07 – Khajuraho to Varanasi
After breakfast visit Eastern & Western Group Temples. Later on transfer to the airport for flight to Varanasi. Arrive in Varanasi and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 08 – Varanasi Sightseeing
Early in the morning, enjoy a boat ride on the holy river Ganges, which presents an incredible scene as multitudes of devotees come to the river to pay homage to the Sun God. The riverfront, as seen from a boat at sunrise, is a spiritually uplifting sight. Hinduism, deep and mystical, is everywhere: in a decorated doorway; in a glimpse of a glittering temple; in the sound of a sacred bell; in the chant of the priests; and in the fragrance of flower oblations. Pass the bathing ghats where thousands of pilgrims immerse themselves in the holy water of the Ganges and the burning ghats where cremations are conducted. Later on, come back to the hotel.

In the afternoon half-day city tour of Varanasi. One of the holiest cities in India, Varanasi is one of the most important pilgrimage sites and also a major tourist attraction. It has been the religious capital of Hinduism since time immemorial. Situated on the banks of the sacred Ganges, Varanasi has been a center of learning and civilization for more than 2,000 years.

In the late afternoon an excursion to Sarnath – where Buddhism first made its appearance nearly 2500 years ago and where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to his 5 disciples. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 09 – Varanasi to Delhi (Departure)
After breakfast transfer to the airport for a flight to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi and departure transfer to Airport. (Breakfast)
